Knox County Manufacturing Skills Program
The Knox County Manufacturing Skill Program was developed to
provide funds to employers to increase the skill level of
technically skilled workers. Companies are eligible to receive a
maximum of $20,000 per 12-month period to cover approved
training expenses. (In this case, each company could
individually apply for and receive these funds.) Knox County
reimburses the employer for 80% of approved training expenses up
to the approved grant amount. The five specific technical skill
areas that are eligible for this program are: 1) Machining, 2)
Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance, 3) Electrical Engineering
Technologies, 4) Computer Aided Design and Drafting, and 5)
Chemical and Environmental Technologies. |
