The
Development Corporation of Knox County
The Development Corporation (TDC) was
formed by a group of interested business and community leaders
in Knox County in 1991 and represents a unique partnership
between the private sector and government. TDC assists companies
in assembling sites, developing buildings, facilitating
permitting, assessing various infrastructure needs, and
assessing possible incentives that might be available for
projects.
The Development Corporation also provides management and
administrative services to the Knox County and the City of
Knoxville Industrial Development Boards as well as a Health,
Educational and Housing Facility Board that serves the Knox
County area. In addition, TDC serves as the state mandated Joint
Economic and Community Development Board for both Knoxville and
Knox County.
