Mike Edwards is the President and CEO of The Development Corporation of Knox County (TDC). He sets the vision, mission and climate for TDC and the Knoxville Area Chamber. He serves on the Education Committee of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Board of Trustees for the Great Schools Partnership, Board of Directors of the Public School Forum, Board of Directors for the Discovery Center and Board of Directors of the Tennessee Business Roundtable. Mike holds a B.S. in political science from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Todd Napier is Executive Vice President of The Development Corporation of Knox County (TDC) where he has worked since 2001. Before joining TDC, he was a planner with the engineering consulting firm of Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon (1998-2001). Todd worked as a property specialist for Sprint PCS during the company’s launch into the East Tennessee market in 1997. Prior to that, he spent seven years working as an engineer and manager in the chemical and food processing industries in both Louisiana and Tennessee. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Tennessee Tech University, Cookeville, and a Master of Science degree in planning from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Todd is past president of the East Tennessee Industrial Council. He is also active in the American Planning Association, International Economic Development Council, Tennessee Economic Development Council and is a board member and coach for Region 279 of the American Youth Soccer Association.
Kim Henry is a graduate of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UT) with a Bachelor of Science in business administration/statistics and a Master of Science in planning. Kim has 15 years experience in the planning and development field, having been Director of Planning for SITE, Inc, a civil engineering consulting firm, a Senior Planner for the Knoxville Knox County Metropolitan Planning Commission, and a researcher for UT’s Transportation Center and General Counsel’s Office. Ms. Henry is a former MPC Commissioner and is currently chair of the Downtown Design Review Board. She is involved with multiple professional and civic organizations including 2009 President of the East Tennessee Industrial Council, Knoxville Area American Planning Association, 2009 President of City People, 2009-2011 Co-Chair of the Dogwood Arts Festival Market Square Art Fair, and Nucleus Knoxville. Duties at TDC include property management for the TDC business parks, management of PILOT and Manufacturing Skills grants programs, and management of the TDC website and other communications.
